Tom Stites (former editor at NYT, Philadelphia Inquirer, Chicago Tribunen, Publisher of UU World) asked at the Media Giraffe conference:
"Is there any wonder, that less affluent Americans have abandoned newspapers and are angry at the press?"
One of his answers was "They've abandoned newspapers - the primary source of serious reporting - because the newspapers have abandoned them."
