- follow me on Twitter and hope that I may return his favor and follow him
- tell me that he is on Twitter and delivers value, that I might want to check out
- pitch me to be a follower
- promote his Twitter account value to me (he is a marketer)
offering a 'return following', if I follow Jack is not a value proposition I buy in!
