Dentsu's 2007 Ad Spending Report Japan

According to Dentsu total ad spending in 2007 rose 1.1 % (lower than 2006: + 1.7 %). Ad spending in newspapers dropped 5.2 %, in magazines minus 4.0 - while ad spending at the Internet rose 24.4 % and surpassed ad revenue in magazines. Dentsu predicts that ad spending will rise by 1.7 % in 2008.
